    Product Details

The Balvenie 12 Year Doublewood Whisky acquires its distinct character through dual wood maturation. During aging, it transitions from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first-fill European oak sherry cask. Each stage imparts unique qualities to the single malt: the traditional casks soften and add character, while the sherry wood enhances depth and richness of flavor. On the nose, notes of sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry intertwine with hints of honey and vanilla. The palate offers a smooth, mellow single malt with harmoniously blended flavors—nutty sweetness, cinnamon spice, and a delicate layer of sherry—culminating in a long, warming finish. Best enjoyed neat, over ice, or with a splash of water to amplify the flavors. The Balvenie prides itself on five rare crafts integral to its distinctive taste: growing its own barley, using traditional floor maltings, and maintaining on-site coppersmiths and coopers, resulting in one of the most handcrafted malts available. The Balvenie comprises a unique range of single malt whiskies hailing from Dufftown in Scotland's Speyside region. Crafted by the esteemed Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, each variant in the range boasts its own unique flavor profile while retaining the recognizable essence of The Balvenie—a rich, smooth, and honeyed character.
