Hancock's Reserve is one of four bourbons (the other three are Rock Hill Farms, Blanton's, and Elmer T. Lee) produced by Buffalo Trace using their #2 mash bill, which incorporates a slightly higher proportion of rye.
The nose is all butterscotch, fudge, tobacco and nectarines.
The palate shows coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg, butter and sweet corn.
