Following the immense success of their toasted barrel finish bourbon, Michter's has introduced a limited-edition cask strength rye.
This Kentucky straight rye is crafted by taking Michter's US*1 Single Barrel Rye at its natural barrel strength and subjecting it to a secondary barrel finish. These finishing barrels are constructed using 24-month air-dried staves and undergo toasting rather than charring. Due to the cask strength bottling, the proof may fluctuate, with an average of around 108 proof.
