The Heaven Hill 27 Year Barrel Proof is one of the rarest and most storied bourbons ever released—a phoenix born from tragedy. Distilled between 1989 and 1990 at the Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, these 41 barrels survived the devastating fire that destroyed the original distillery in 1996. For over two decades, they quietly aged on the first and second floors of Heaven Hill's rickhouses, where increased humidity caused the proof to naturally drop over time. The result is a remarkably smooth, barrel-proof bourbon at 94.7 proof—a testament to patience, resilience, and the magic of Kentucky's climate.
With fewer than 3,000 bottles produced, this is a true one-time, limited-edition release. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in an elegant custom wooden box bearing the iconic double-H insignia, secured with a magnetic closure and nestled in a blue satin-lined base. The distiller's notes label features hand-written bottle numbers and tasting notes—making every bottle a piece of Heaven Hill history.
